Secret # 4 - Do Breathing exercise Techniques to improve your mind connection to using and firing your abs and core muscles. I remember about 8 years ago a friend of mine taught me the power of breathing. I practiced this for about 2 months straight! My waistline became smaller because during every exercise I did I would connect my breathing to it which required the use of my core and abs a lot more. So even when I did pushups, squats, or planks I would try to do my deep abdominal breathing and engage my core. I have a little video on YouTube if you want to learn about it more. (I’ll share a video at bottom)
Secret # 5 - Work on your BUTT. Ha! Yes! The Butt is very much part of how your abs will look believe it or not. I remember sticking out my butt (up until about 23 yrs. old) when I walked and my stomach would protrude in the front because I was high jacking my lower back muscles and hip flexors so my abs weren’t as visible as they are now since I am using less of my lower back muscles and more of my lower abs and overall core! This was all due to body awareness and training my glutes (booty) to fire more. Do me a favor, stand up. Now go ahead and clench your butt cheeks together. Can you feel your abs more engaged? With that being said, in order to access the glutes you must stretch out the front part of your quads and hip flexors and foam roll your thighs. Then incorporate butt exercises like bridges, hip lifts with a stability ball. Yep, these exercises are also in my program! (Got a little workout video for you on this too, I’ll share in just a sec!)
Secret # 6 - Effective AB Exercises in addition to everything else I’ve mentioned. Doing 1000 crunches ins’t gonna’ cut it! You could probably do crunches till night falls, but unless you did all the other secrets I’ve shared you wouldn’t see much change. And I probably would not recommend only crunches; instead I would chose exercises that you would get a whole more results and not waste your time. Doing a combination of core and abs is a better choice and again this is in addition to the proper nutrition and other effective workout methods of BLASTING FAT! So here is a little workout video from my Getfitin6 EXTREME Online Program (This program will be starting up again on July 30th so make sure you hit me up email@example.com if you are ready to do this thing on a serious level) Enjoy this little video and follow along with me to get a little taste of how to work your abs effectively. This would be perfect for you to incorporate!! Just 3 Exercises, and doesn’t take up too much time at all!
And ONE LAST VERY IMPORTANT THING: Drink at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces. I typically drink 1/2 -1 Gallon. This Helps the body metabolized Stored FAT! Plus, the kidneys need proper water supply to function. If the kidneys lack water, the liver has to pick up the slack. And one of a major function of the liver is to metabolize fat, so if your liver is preoccupied with helping out your kidneys, then it will not be at its highest capacity to burn fat! Make sense? Also water helps eliminate waste and toxins, while at the same time helps with all the body functions as well as deliver the nutrients to the cells thereby giving energy, repairing and recovering the muscles faster to keep the metabolism burning! Lastly, if you don’t drink enough water you will surely retain it so your abs will appear softer (not as defined).
