My Secret



I just want to give you an example real quick on how I got on the cover of Personal Fitness Proffesional. I literally was telling my friend that I was going to be on the cover of a magazine. I said I don't know how but I will find out and I attempted to get on myspace and tell some group forum for models about what I wanted to do and I literally imagined myself on a fitness cover and 2 weeks later, it landed right on my lap, they contacted me through people that I knew in the industry... I was literally jumping up and down because I thought to myself that I was just telling myself this 2 weeks ago and it happened.

This is how all things work. Your thoughts are that powerful. You want something bad enough and surely you will get it.

There is a reason why some people are happier and more genuinely fulfilled than others. I want to share with you the secret of why it is this way.


I know some people who know me may wonder why I seem so happy and full of joy at all times. You know, I go to teach my Get Fit in Six classes every Monday and Wednesday and I am so happy to do it and help people reach the goals they want to achieve.

Sometimes when I engage in conversations with my clients and talk about topics such as “how to think positive” or “everything that you want to do begins with intention” and they sometimes just look at me in admiration, which can be quite flattering.... Flattering because I am a young 24 year old woman that can cause such an impact on someone else’s life.

I used to get mad or angry at certain things or people. But now I am finding that I don’t get mad as often as I did, in fact, I allow almost anything to slide right off of my shoulder. Why get mad? Getting mad is a negative emotion and can does not resolve anything. Getting mad will only attract negative energy towards you.

I can honestly tell you that I attract only positive people into my life, and if a negative person happens to come along, it is only because they are seeking to be positive and happier, and that is the direction I lead them into.

You, who are subscribed to my blog, or just simply reading it, are seeking not only to get in better shape, but to also find true happiness and that is why you are attracted to what I have to offer.

What is the Secret? How is it that you can get what you want and find the way to happiness?

First, write down everything you love about yourself…do not think about anything negative. Free yourself from all the negative emotions that you have about yourself.

Everyday write more things you love about yourself.

Envision, exactly what you want, this does not necessarily have to be about your body, it could be about anything. But if your body is your main concern then write about it. In fact, write it down now. Write down that you weigh x amount of lbs…referring to your ideal weight. See yourself at that ideal weight in your mind and embrace that thought. Remind yourself of that image and feel that you are that image right now. Know that you are capable of being that person at that ideal weight.

I promise you that if you do this without a doubt you can do and be anything that you want.

I apply this to my life and this is why I am happy…happy with what I do for a living, happy with the way I look, happy with where I live, happy with the life I lead, and happy with the fact that I am helping others and sharing with them this very valuable information.

Interestingly enough, I watched the movie “The Secret” (www.thesecret.tv) which I highly, highly encourage you to own or watch. It states almost the exact things that I have been trying to teach my clients to do, which is focusing on only the positive and never the negatives. Now I have an even more structured way of teaching it and making it simpler, because it is simple.

My love for all of you and hopes that you reach whatever it is you want.

August:What an exciting month for me!

I have had quite an exciting month I must say. I got on the cover of the Personal Fitness Proffessional Magazine, I just did a radio on the Performance Nutrition Show(http://www.performancenutritionshow.com/index.php), I am helping a lot of people one- on one, my infamous Get Fit in Six class, I begin school this coming week to be on the road of obtaining my exercise science and health promotion degree, and I have been working out 5x a week.....and of course all those other things that normal people do: cook, clean, laundry, shop, etc.

I find ways to continue to motivate myself and I sincerly hope that I can continue to motivate you. As both you and I know, there is no excuse for not working out. The day has too many minutes for you not to be able to get in a workout. Always remember that even if you can only do 6 little minutes of a couple of exercises, it is a lot better than none. I sometimes do that when I can't seem to fit in a workout in my day, and if I can, I'll do 6 min in the morning and 6 at night.

Never work through any pain!

Lesson # 1: Never work through pain because you will injure yourself worse.

Lesson # 2: When the doctor says to lay off of anything, do it! I know it’s hard, but there is a reason for it and that is because you will most likely continue to injure it.

This is kind of what happened in the story that I have to tell you written below. Basically the girl was running a race and she hurt her knee but she decided to continue and now she can’t run outside. Period.

Here’s my story:

I had a very good day today. You know why? We’ll probably a reason that you might not be thinking of. No, I didn’t go dancing, nor did I win any cash, nor did I go to the beach. But, what I did do was help someone out.

I was working out at the gym and I saw this girl that I always see in there. She is always doing cardio…at least 1.5-2 hours…crazy cardio. Either she is on the bike or she is on the elliptical or treadmill. So I casually started talking to her and that’s when I found out that she does that much cardio.

Anyway the reason that she does so much cardio is because she used to run marathons but she hurt her knee a while back and hasn’t been able to really run outside ever since. She went to the doctor and the doctor didn’t find anything wrong... so, nothing torn, nothing sprained, and her limitations were just no running outside and to lay off of it for a couple of weeks until it feels better.

So I told her that I would help her out. I told her that I am not a physical therapist, but I am a personal trainer and have been working with all sorts of injured people for the past 5, almost 6 years.

I said to her that if I wasn’t able to help her I would recommend that she goes to a physical therapist. So she agreed. I helped her stretch the muscles that I saw tight and taught her how to foam roll to get rid of the knots, which most likely play a role in the fact that her knee bothers her. After those 15 minutes I took with her she told me that she felt so much better.

Oh and I also gave her some tips on better eating habits, so she could knock off some weight and when she does that there will be less impact on her knee.

It felt so good to help someone out. I’ll keep you posted on her progress.

Salsa Dancing---Great Calorie Burner!

In addition to my 4-5 x a week workouts, I have found another way to enhance my healthy living. Salsa! It is so exciting, and wow, what a workout! I am fortunate enough to have a salsa instructor for a roommate. She not only gives me lessons, but we go out every Thurs and now Sunday nights to dance. I would definitely consider this my favorite cardio and core workout. On top of it all, it is fun, so it makes me want to do it for hours and I don't even know that hours have gone by.

If you can get out there and dance, do it! It really makes you feel alive. But, of course, don't give up your strength training, because this is really what will continue to keep your metabolism going and it will keep your tone and definition. I can assure you that salsa and other forms of dancing is great, but I will also assure you that I will never give up my squats, push-ups, pull-ups, planks, or my Get Fit in Six type training--the best interval type of training I have created to really keep me in my best shape. This is why I don't fatigue at all when I go out there and dance salsa for hours.

Don't worry guys; soon this will be available to all of you so you too can be in your best shape ever! I know, I keep mentioning it, but my Get Fit in Six Audio CD is most definitely going to be the # 1 tool out there on the market to whip anyone into tip-top shape. Oh, I meant to tell you that I made this awsome fish that you could try at home. Get some Mahi-Mahi, roasted garlic, fresh cocktail tomatoes and fresh green beans, throw some seasoning on it and cook for about 10 min and done.

Get Fit in Six Audio CD ourse

Yes Boys and Girls. I have been working very hard lately. The reason for it is because I wanted to be able to create a program that is easy to follow, yet effective, efficient, and intense all at the same time. A program that will whip people into shape considering all different levels of fitness, so no one is left out. I am almost done with my awesome Get Fit in Six Audio CD program that mimic my Get Fit in Six Class in Boca! So if you can't come to me, then I will come to you. I truly can't wait to be able to get this out to you. My program uses minimal equipment, in fact, most of the time what you will need is your body alone! Oh and it is as little as 6 minutes and at most it is 24 minutes and that is it. Make no mistake though, it is designed to give you a kick@$$ workout in that little time. So anyway, just thought I'd fill you in a little on what's going on in my crazy life. ...Not too crazy, you know what I mean. I'll keep you updated on it though.
Take care of yourselves and don't forget to workout today...At least do a couple of push-ups and sit-ups if you absolutely can't make it to the gym.
